The accounting engine
The two reports that decide your business – each one click. Not a weekend.
The WIP schedule your surety wants and the cost-to-complete your PMs want each take one click – not a spreadsheet and an entire weekend. SCPM Project ships with the complete SCPM Construction Accounting engine already inside it: a construction-native general ledger, not QuickBooks with job-costing bolted on.

Every figure ties to a posting — cost-to-date pulls from committed POs, subcontracts, and vendor bills; cost-to-complete and projected margin update the moment a change order is approved.

Built for the contractor's cycle
Get paid. Pay & comply. Know your jobs. Close the books.
Get paid
AIA-style progress billing – schedule of values, pay applications, stored materials, and the G702/G703 PDF package your lender expects. Retainage receivable, AR aging, and customer receipts.
Pay & comply
Two-stage AP approval, subcontractor COI and lien-waiver tracking with payment holds that actually block payment, retainage payable, 1099s, and certified payroll with the federal WH-347.
Know your jobs
Committed-cost and PO reporting, change-order accounting both sides, profit fade, cash flow by job, and equipment costing – all posting against the same cost-code spine as the field.
Close the books
A guided period close with overhead allocation and WIP adjusting entries, a confidence-scored bank-rec auto-matcher, and a bonding-grade close package in one PDF.
The two reports that matter
One WIP schedule, two modes – both a single click.
Live WIP is available any time, computed from posted transactions, clearly labeled a working estimate – for the PM checking margin on a Tuesday. Definitive WIP is produced at period close, frozen, and reconciled to the general ledger to the penny – the bonding-grade version for the surety, the bank, and the CPA. It can never silently change.
Live
Any moment, mid-period. A working estimate – for decisions.
Definitive
At period close, frozen, tied to the GL. For the surety and the bank.

Earned revenue is cost-to-date against the projected cost — so over/under-billing and profit fade are computed from the same postings as the job cost, not re-keyed into a spreadsheet each month.
Owner billing
AIA pay applications that tie to the books
The schedule of values, this-period draws, stored materials, and retainage all pull straight from the job cost. Approve a change order and the pay app moves with it — then a signed G702/G703 renders to PDF in one click. No spreadsheet, no re-keying, no reconciliation.
- ✓AIA G702 / G703 continuation
- ✓Retainage held & released
- ✓Stored-materials tracking
- ✓Sub pay apps & lien waivers

Books you can prove
Field reality and financial reality never drift apart.
Append-only ledger
Posted journal entries are immutable – enforced by the database itself, not just application code.
Closed periods stay closed
The database refuses postings to a closed period outside a controlled, dual-control adjustment workflow.
AIA billing
Schedule of values, pay applications, stored materials, and the G702/G703 PDF package generated straight from the books.
Certified payroll
Day-by-day hours, work classifications, prevailing wage tracking, and the federal WH-347 form with its Statement of Compliance.
Multi-company groups
Each company keeps its own complete, standalone books; a derived, read-only combined layer presents statements the way a CPA builds them by hand.
Every number drills through
Any figure on a dashboard or report traces to the postings behind it.
Want the accounting engine on its own?
SCPM Construction Accounting is also available as a standalone product for firms that only want the financial backbone, without the full construction-management platform.
